Apa-Living (Balmerhaus), Basel

Ori­gin­ally, Everything Was Planned Dif­fer­ently: A fresh hotel con­cept—in­nov­at­ive and con­tem­por­ary. But then Covid hit, and the game changed. In­stead of hotel rooms, styl­ish apart­ments were cre­ated. 
As the owner's rep­res­ent­at­ive for a major Swiss bank, we guided this ex­cit­ing trans­form­a­tion: What was once a 2-star hotel with 170 rooms on Balmer­strasse in Basel be­came high-qual­ity liv­ing space for 54 ten­ants. That’s right! The build­ing un­der­went a full renov­a­tion, its char­ac­ter was pre­served, and its en­tire usage concept was re­ima­gined.
